The 2nd Annual Mason Dixon Cup was held on Saturday, July 14 2012 at Rocky Gap Golf Course, featuring 11 members from each club, MDDGA and WPDGA. WPDGA requested to wear BLACK shirt and MDDGA wore RED. It was a great day of golf and unity. The first 4 of 5 matches were completed before the 16th tee. Our own Tim "not so lucky" Dapp had his hand full for 36 holes. He was the ONLY sole loser of both sessions. Much to our suprise WPDGA star of the day belong to Gregory Sebastain who played his best golf in both sessions. Destruction was on his mind when he went head to head with Dapp and it was delivered with an all out full blown victory. My hats tip to Mr. Sebastain well deserved win, Congrats! WPDGA went on a full throttle from the first tee in the AM session and did not conserve much needed energy for the PM session. It appears their motto was to attack MDDGA on all mights and make them bleed endlessly! Admit, our wounds were exposed greatly and humbly acknowledged the unexpected firepower from WPDGA. Captian Mabashov must have wondered why his lineup didn't fare well, but went back to the drawing board with his counterpart, Behanna to regroup his thoughts and made some shuffling moves for single matches. Captian Behanna had a big grin on his face feeling that he never felt since he came out of his mother's womb and take home the cup without looking at his lineup for the PM session. Drinking beer from the Maryland water had his thoughts on cloud 9 until half way into his rounds realized he may have put in the wrong lineup. Lo and behold, the results are in and WPDGA went home red-faced. :-)
